Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026

The short version

These terms cover this website. The app has its own licence, and it is Apple’s, not ours — see below. There is no account here and nothing to sign up for, so the two documents between them are the whole arrangement.

The app’s licence

Ariata for iPhone is licensed under Apple’s standard End User License Agreement, which is the agreement between you and us for the app itself. Nothing on this page replaces it.

Ariata Pro is sold by Apple. Prices, billing, renewal and refunds are Apple’s to handle, under the terms you accepted with your Apple Account. A subscription renews until you cancel it, and you cancel it in Settings, Subscriptions — not here, and not by deleting the app. The instrument itself is free and stays free.

Shared links

A shared link carries everything it shares inside the URL itself: six preset values, a short name, and optionally the notes of a phrase. This site renders a preview from the link alone. It uploads nothing, stores nothing, and keeps no record that a link was opened — so there is nothing here for us to edit, retrieve or delete on request.

The name in a link is trimmed to twelve characters and shown as written. Preview pages are not indexed by search engines, but a link is public to anyone who has it: treat the name as something you are publishing. We may decline to render a link, and we may stop rendering them altogether.

What you make

The music you play is yours. Recordings, videos and background music you export are yours to use, including commercially, with no attribution owed and no licence granted to us — we never receive them in the first place.

The Ariata name, the artwork and this site’s content are ours.

This website

ariata.app is provided as it is, with no warranty and no promise that it will stay available. We may change it or take it down. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from its use; nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
